I hope they DO mandate a vehicle kill switch, and I hope anyone who argues against it is the first killed by people disabling these on their cars. Humans are absolute monsters behind the wheel, and can't be trusted to follow the rules of the road at all. I'm all for this. I'm parading around on this issue, I'm supporting it, I love it, and I want to see it happen as soon as possible. Don't like it? You can stick up your fanny along with your hateful responses. The instrument has yet to be invented that could begin to measure the indifference I feel toward your argumentative responses.

Go right ahead. > > > A person who experiences internal inconsistency tends to become psychologically uncomfortable and is motivated to reduce the cognitive dissonance. They tend to make changes to justify the stressful behavior, either by adding new parts to the cognition causing the psychological dissonance (rationalization) or by avoiding circumstances and contradictory information likely to increase the magnitude of the cognitive dissonance (confirmation bias). Coping with the nuances of contradictory ideas or experiences is mentally stressful. It requires energy and effort to sit with those seemingly opposite things that all seem true. Festinger argued that some people would inevitably resolve the dissonance by blindly believing whatever they wanted to believe > > [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognitive\_dissonance](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognitive_dissonance) Another trap to avoid when discussing this conflict is the false dilemna. That there are two sides to this conflict and you have to pick one.

Hamas published yesterday an 18-minute long pre-recorded press conference in English about their side of the story. This has received zero media attention anywhere in the western press. (Twitter)

The new strategy should be armed protests that promise violence to the politicians and their families. Anything short of that is just farts.

Why was a trans woman going to a gynaecologist? They have no business there. They don’t have a vagina or a uterus or any of the parts that gynaecologists look at. The only reason was to try and kick up this exact stink, to try and sue them for being tRaNsPhObIc.

Trans women are biological men. There’s no side stepping this fact, and when you’re talking about doctors and medicine it is the only thing that matters. Your “gender identity” is irrelevant. It means nothing.

This is the best summary I could come up with: --- “This technology is just pretty old actually, but this is quite innovative to make it so technical,” says Julien Martin Cocher, deputy CEO of Cool Roof France. Cool Roof France (CRF) is on a mission to reduce the ambient temperature inside buildings in a sustainable and cost effective way. In France, the company has worked closely with the police and government to paint the roof of a sniffer dog handling unit. Currently, Cool Roof France mainly works with businesses, schools and hospitals to reduce the temperature inside buildings filled with hundreds of people. The company also uses 10 per cent of its profits to help fund projects to support people living in heat vulnerable areas. “Last year we went to Senegal, painting 30,000 square metres of buildings, schools, hospitals, individual houses and just to help people because this is part of our DNA,” says Julien. --- The original article contains 776 words, the summary contains 145 words. This is the best summary I could come up with: --- “The team of scientists found that these connections often traverse even through the outermost and toughest layer of membrane, the dura, opening up even closer to the brain surface than previous thought,” according to a statement from Helmholz Munich. Neuroinflammation, a common feature of neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's, stroke, and multiple sclerosis (MS), can be caused when immune cells from the skull get into the brain. They [invaders, the immune cells] want to destroy the inside, but they're blocked, right?” said Ali Ertürk, head of the Institute for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine at Helmholtz Munich. To generate high-resolution images of the skull, meninges, and the brain for the first time the research team used “tissue clearing”, a specialised method to make organs and bones transparent. Ertürk's team of about thirty researchers who worked on the project for over four years hopes that “more accessible and practical ways” to monitor neurological diseases will be developed. For example, small, portable detectors could be attached to the head permanently to deliver a continuous stream of information instead of periodic MRI and PET scans. --- The original article contains 687 words, the summary contains 182 words. This is the best summary I could come up with: --- Billboards erected in London showing model Eliza Rose Watson in underwear advertising her OnlyFans account page have been cleared by the UK regulator following complaints that they were inappropriate for children to see. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) received 30 complaints stating that the posters seen in Harrow, Tottenham, Lambeth and Edgware in June and July featured adult content and were inappropriate. ASA said that although Watson’s clothing was revealing, the image did not feature any nudity, and the pose adopted by her was “no more than mildly sexual." “While we acknowledged that the image of Ms Watson and reference to OnlyFans might be distasteful to some, we considered that because the ad was not overtly sexual and did not objectify women, we therefore concluded it was unlikely to cause serious or widespread offence.” The ASA continued: “The ad was shown on several posters throughout London, which was an untargeted medium, and was therefore likely to be seen by a large number of people, including children.” Commenting on the reaction to the billboards, she said: "If people are offended by my ad, I'm assuming they're also complaining about Ann Summers and Jack Daniels ones. --- The original article contains 408 words, the summary contains 194 words. This is the best summary I could come up with: --- Leonore Gewesseler, Green MP and Austria’s climate minister, was seen promoting the deal at the Frequency Festival in the town of St Pölten last Thursday. A pop-up tattoo parlour with a banner reading “Aktion geht unter die Haut” (Action that gets under your skin) has appeared at a number of events this summer. Attendees at the events where the tent appeared were also offered other tattoo designs related to public transport, sustainability and climate change free of charge. After the pop-up tent appeared at Electric Love Festival in Salzburg six weeks ago, social media users criticised the campaign for encouraging irresponsible behaviour from young people. Henrike Brandstötter, an MP for Austria’s liberal NEOS party, also said that “offering people money for putting advertising under their skin reveals an unacceptable view of humanity from a government minister”. Representatives of the company which sells the climate ticket also told local press that feedback at the festivals was “extremely positive” and the campaign had been well received. --- The original article contains 539 words, the summary contains 164 words.
