      TF2 runs on CPU not GPU. The system I ordered has only 2GB VRAM. But 32GB RAM, and an i7…but it’s not coming until Wed. And with 24" IPS monitor is under $400.

      Anyway, fuck you, I work in Human Services…I had to finance $350.

        I was joking, chill. As long as it runs, it’s all that matters. My PC is 11 years old, but I changed the CPU and graphics for cheap. Also running Linux really helps for my case.

          …was I too aggressive? I’m working on that. Sorry if I was. I’m from Philly, and our “playful” can seem “mean” to some. Apologies. Wasn’t intended.

          Anyway I have been debating Linux. I’ve run it a few times but hate the bullshit with tracking down drivers. Mint was probably my favorite. I know TF2 runs better on Linux, but it’s not just about that. I need to run CS6 which I don’t think runs well under WINE, as well as an unsupported copy of Sketchup Free…which I have not tested.

          The refurbished box I’m waiting on is Win 10, so I know everything I need will run. But with the imminent lack of security coming up this month…Linux has been looking better and better. What would you suggest? I’ve run: Ubuntu, PHLAK, Mint, Puppy, Kali, and Red Hat. But I lean towards Mint, as mentioned above.

            Yeah if you need proprietary software Windows is your best bet. Some say it works, some say it doesn’t. If you need it reliably and no FOSS alternative will do the job, I don’t blame you for staying away.

            So far the best I’ve found are Zorin, Kubuntu, CachyOS, and maybe Nobara. Overall if you need Ubuntu for some stuff (like deb software installers) then Zorin is a solid choice. CachyOS is fast and really well made, takes care of a lot of the headaches, but runs on Arch (and you’re on your own there… Lol)

            Zorin 18 is coming out soon and apparently they will make Wine easier to use. Could be worth a shot!
