The Roman legionary went to egypt to beat the Pharoah in a pokemon battle (“so that I can become the very best” referring to the pokemon song), but was instead challenged to a Yugioh ‘duel’ (because the protagonist of Yugioh was an Egyptian Pharoah, or at least the ghost time-sharing his body via haunted necklace was).
It’s an absurd premise that has a weird logic to it. The comic, I mean.
