Although, I’m currently in the Tennessee/North Carolina cold snap panic. People are all bundled up, and I am genuinely comfortable in my shorts and sandals. About 5 less degrees or 10 MPH more wind, and I’d put on shoes.
Not a Canadian but same here. I’m driving around with the top down in my convertible if it’s sunny and in the 40s. Coat doesn’t come out usually until single digits, either regular temp or wind chill. Had a bright sunny day a few years ago after a snow storm and my neighbors teased me because I was out shoveling snow in shorts and flip flops. Some of us just handle the cold better than others.
Except for the first day it hits in the fall I don’t even wanna get out of bed. But then the first day it’s that warm again in the spring, it’s shorts and hoodie time again.
I feel seen and understood. And I’m not white.

It’s 29 degrees and I want to die.
As a Canadian, I don’t even need a jacket at those temps.
