Authors notes:

Is it just me, or does it feel like it takes too much effort to game some days?

And then even when you do get around to playing a game, it ends up making you feel worse than before? x.x

Some days are just not meant for gaming, I think. It sucks, but sometimes, I really want to play a game, and the second I start, it just annoys me. The smallest setback is enough to make me ragequit (more like sadquit, I guess) when that happens. It doesn’t matter what game it is, either. Minecraft, Celeste, ETS2, whatever it is, it won’t bring me any pleasure on those days :c

I like the comic, though I can’t say I relate. Maybe it’s just because I mostly play single player stuff, but usually if a game interests me, I will laser focus on it and grind that thing into a fine paste. I’ll complete every last thing, read wikis, and then the moment I’ve wrung the last bit of game out, I wait for the next game that catches my interest.

Honestly, the 90s games were mostly unreasonably difficult in order to keep people from beating them right away. Without the Internet, tips were often word of mouth or, if the game was popular enough, in a guide book.
