They kept provoking, pushing and stressing immigrants until a guy with mental illness and PTSD snapped, now they can use the ”terrorist” card.

I wonder how many people are under the category and how many murders they have carried out in comparison to the average.

My understanding is that immigrants, illegal or not, are more law abiding than average citizens?

There are varying statistics about this. Will not be able to support my answer with links or studies at this point, but some of the issues that are common factors combined are:

        • Mental health issues, can be exacerbated by PTSD.
        • Exclusion from society, feeling isolated, being an outlier.
        • Low economic status, unemployed or working low status, low wage jobs.
        • Being or perceived as being maltreated by authorities.

In general, minorities (not immigrants per se) are usually overrepresented in jailing or convictions regardless of crime rate. While immigrants try to stay low and not attract negative attention due to their vulnerable status, they can end up overrepresented in media due to reactions to their crimes. It’s easier to attribute mental health issues to someone representative of the majority acting out in a grossly criminal way, than it is to someone who is way more traumatized thanks to the country they’re seeking refuge in.
