I buy exactly what I will eat for the week, and eat it all. I don’t waste any food. At the end of seven days, my refrigerator is nearly empty, except for things that last me more than one week, like milk.

And is it the same meal three times a day? And how do they drink milk that’s over a week old and not vomit?
I bought fresh milk today, the use-by date is 11 December. It’ll still be fine by then. It only goes off if you leave it out of the fridge.
Milk keeps fresh for more than two weeks if you keep the container closed, doesn’t it? And after opening one container you simply use it up within several days where it stays fresh.
Never had a problem with that.
If you keep it unopened, yes, it’ll definitely keep longer than a week. I gathered that OP is talking about an opened container of milk though
Resealable holds more than a week np 👍
I buy 3 one litre bags of milk every two or three weeks and they last just fine, what kind of milk are you drinking?
For those not in the know, eastern Canada has bagged milk. Look it up. I know of nowhere else that does this
The upper portion of the Midwest US used to, specifically kwik trip gas stations. They have their own line of goods, and until like 2 yrs or so ago that included bagged milk. Very disappointing it’s no longer available. They said it wasn’t worth replacing the old bagging machine.
Germany had them until the 80s. Cool concept with less trash.
Do you open all three bags when you get them and then keep using them for three weeks? I’m going to guess no, that you instead open them one at a time and use each one within a week of opening.
Milk usually lasts just over a week…
Could be UHT?
Sadly, I do not know the answer to either question. Hopefully OP comes through.
