Thats crazy I wonder how they handled scaling to that many users so quick.
Epic had to have an emergency meeting at 1 am the second or third day of release to up the “limit” of available servers because it was early access. If I’m recalling that correctly. Like glimse said, it’s probably just a flick of a switch to open up even more servers.
They probably just had to spin up more servers (which are pretty light to host)
I honestly just hope this sends a clear message to the developers who need it. There is a very, very big market for anything vaguely Pokemon shaped that is not Pokemon Company. If Palworld, the most derivative crafting/exploration/survival game to hit market, can make these kinds of numbers, a competent studio with original ideas could really hit the moon.
