I never expected this deal to get as much trouble as it did. I still think it would eventually close, but it’s interesting to see the issues it is facing.

Okay, I don’t get it. If they can’t close the deal in June, how has it sped up the process? Can anyone explain for a completely non-law person.

Good. Abusive monopolies and already too big and too powerful corporations like Microsoft should never be allowed to become even bigger and more powerful They should be split up.

While I also don’t want a mega-corp overlord, I’d look forward of Microsoft acquiring Blizzard. Or anyone acquiring Blizzard, really. Something has to change in that company.

Makes sense, it’s pretty clear Microsoft is trying to go for a monopoly over gaming. Kinda sucks a little since it would have been nice to have Microsoft clean up ABK like they did with Bethesda a bit. But that’s also probably exactly why Microsoft is buying these companies, to avoid any backlash from consumers and make themselves look like the good guys.
