This is such a convenient tool for emulation, the global hotkeys and controller scheme for all emulators is a really cool idea
EmuDeck vs RetroDeck pros and cons ?
EmuDeck is more complete, and is easier to setup especially for recent console (e.g. Switch). However it’s a script that installs a bunch of flatpaks and puts files all over your device.
RetroDeck is a self-contained unique application so it’s cleaner, but last time I checked it was a bit more difficult to get Yuzu to work.
Also, EmuDeck creates individual Steam games for each of your game while RetroDeck is a launcher (EmulationStation) for all your retro game. Whether it’s a pro for one or the other is up to personal taste.
I love RetroDeck, It’s about as close as you can get to a turn key solution.
Switch emulation needs work but otherwise it does everything I want.Trying to track down a cheatsheet of the hot keys and so forth , preferably one that I can print out, so the wife and grandkids can see what the hot key combos are.
Wife got stuck in PacMan or something the other day and could not remember how to exit out.
Or am I just blind and not seeing it in the UI.
Would not be the first time i do a post, and then find the answer.
For the standard Hotkey combinations check their wiki
If you’re playing on Steam Deck - touching the left touchpad brings up a radial menu with all the hotkeys
