I remember congressional hearings on drug prices a couple of decades ago and congress asked “Why can’t we just source cheaper drugs from Canada and use those?”
And the drug executives responded “Well, we can’t guarantee the safety and effacacy of drugs from Canada.”
Nobody dared ask the obvious follow up question:
“Wait, are you saying you’re selling sub-standard drugs to Canada?”
