Yes, but for insurance billing purposes, one’s shaman must first possess a graduate degree from an accredited university and a license from the state in which they intend to practice. And they’re going to need one psych nurse practitioner for every three patients because someone might have a bad trip. But in a group it’s only $7900 each!

I want everyone to know that Medicaid will pay for ketamine treatment in many states. For infusions, even. You’d be paying a co-pay of $30-40 per infusion, that’s it. Not enough people know about it.

When I tried Salvia for the first time I was chased by dragons until I realized they were all made of paper and I was actually on a TV set. I ran from the crowd as the angry mob demanded me but I found myself in the woods and talked to the spirit who calmed the riots and showed me the way home.

When I tried acid I tried riding the bus and the sensation of forward momentum felt so alien and novel that I genuinely thought I was on a starship engaging hyperspeed and was moved to tears by the sheer force. Needless to say, I got off at the next stop and talked to the nearest tree that called to me.

Always have a trip sitter, kids.

I remember a bunch of friends and I had a salvia party in my early 20s. The only person to have a reaction was the guy who always pretended to be more drunk or more high than they actually were for attention, so I don’t believe his reaction was even real. All it did for me and everyone else was give us a headache.

Salvia up to 40x did nothing but 80x completely transported me to another dimension. A friend of mine who did it before me told me his trip was he was a book and he felt someone flip through the book like his skin had been sliced and slapping together as the pages. He was crying during his trip and refused to talk about it before everyone had gone. It really just depends on the strength and the person.

I tried getting help. Rejected by 3 therapists because I was not their target demographic, another called me three times after reading my ‘here’s why I’m seeking therapy’ notes to make sure I wasn’t a threat to myself or others before backing out, and the therapist I did end up seeing thought it would be a good idea to double bill the guy with ‘paranoia’ as one of his listed items. Didn’t walk the charges back until I stopped payment and appointments ‘until this is resolved.’ …and yes, I realize I may be the problem, that is part of the reason I sought therapy… But at this point, there are no non-‘christian councilor’ therapists for males with ADHD in my area that my insurance will pay for.

Possiblity #1: Something that worked through my insurance is Brightside, a service that is similar to Better Help but more guided by HIPPA and they take insurance. I had a crisis and was connected to a psychiatrist and therapist which worked super well for me to have it scheduled easily with my ADHD.

Possibility #2: Psychology Today’s therapist search also had a filter for things like insurance accepted, location, online only sessions, and religious belief and LGBT friendliness. It has also worked well for me to find therapists in the past.

I hope you find a way to talk to a therapist soon! It has helped me tremendously.

I appreciate you mentioning Brightside, I’m not awake during the day due to a sleep disorder so access to therapy is really hard for me, but I absolutely do not wanna use better help

I should go look into them

Thank you for sharing and I’m sorry you’ve been having to go through all of that.

I hope whatever you’ve found or find, it helps.
