There is a 100% chance that if you ask for a specific condiment, they are going to try give you a house aioli sauce instead.

Expensive burgers are like expensive pizzas, absolute waste of money.

It’s a snack food that’s easy to make and other than the meat right now, cheap as shit.

You can probably make it better at home for a fraction of the price

      it’s a snack food

If your point is that a food being unhealthy means it’s unworthy of having effort put in to make a high quality dish then I have to disagree lol

You need a 400 degrees (or so) oven to make good quality pizzas. Don’t tell me you can fit one of these into your flat.

You misunderstand my comment. I’m saying go out for a pizza but there’s no need to buy a 40$ pizza when it’s basically the same as a 20$, since they both cost 5$ to make.

Pizza and burgers are ridiculously simple and there’s not much variation in ingredients. Certainly not enough to justify a 100% price difference.

Where I live, the pizzas go from €10 (cheap) to €20 (expensive)

The €20 ones use dough imported from Italy, whereas the €10 ones definetly taste cheaper.

I cannot speak for burgers, but pizzas definetly do have range where I live - and I’m considering getting a nice quality oven at some point, to make the €20 types myself

I’m sorry, but importing dough from Italy instead of making it fresh locally, sounds either like a scam to charge more or just an inept pizza maker…

The only pizza that’s worth talking about is the Mexican pizza from Taco Bell. New York pizza is overrated. Chicago pizza is overrated. Pizza just……….isn’t that good.

I don’t really care where the pizza dough comes from, or who makes it - it’s the tasty pizzas I keep coming back for.

In my route there I pass by 3-4 pizza places. When you got a good product, I wanna drive for it.

You need 800 to 900 F degrees for a good neapolitan pizza so it’s not dry like most pizza in a regular oven. I’m into pizza dough making and can only do it when my friend let’s me go over to his house lol

Most ovens go up to 500F+, so get an oven steel and place on a lower rack, get a pizza stone and place on the upper rack about 8-12" above. Warm the oven on the highest for about an hour, heat trapped between the steel/stone can get well over 600+. That is enough to make a good pizza for home ovens.

    • I don’t know if I agree with the pizza part. The difference between a $5 pizza and a $20-40 pizza is insane. However, I do agree making it yourself is definitely cheaper and just as good (if not better because you’re making it for yourself).

I agree with the connection you’re making with the analogy, regardless. Burger is burger.

If you have more than you need to live - you “waste” it on stuff that makes you feel better. Otherwise what is the point?

Invest it and make more of it or invest it into durable goods that make you feel better.

Or, hell, buy the individual ingredients and make a burger that rivals the best burger you’d ever get at a restaurant.

Investing sounds like a completely unnecessary step.if eating a fancy burger makes a person a bit more happy -why not?

Also you are sometimes are just not in the mood for cocking. Why have extra money if you don’t spend it?

Yeah I mean do whatever makes you happy. But unless you know you’re going to die soon, investing extra money so you have it to spend later or pass it down makes some people like me happy.

Also, who’s not ever in the mood for some good cocking

Sure, but there are also people who don’t care to much for having more money and want spend it as long as they are live on fun stuff. No one is in the wrong here.

I love cooking but sometimes I can’t be bothered.

Should have shown a very minimalist sized burger and a fun-shaped stupid plate replacement.
