Honestly I’d just be happy if their fixed the shitshow that is Siri.
I’d assume that any work done by Apple on generative AI would be carried out with the goal of replacing/enhancing Siri.

oh, damn. i was really hoping Apple would ignore this or do something “Apple” with it like somehow making it create something interestingly useful yet benign. now I’m concerned they’ll do something I won’t like.
I assume that’s still their goal with this, but they needed to start working on this yesterday; it’s already a bit late.
