Explanation: The Roman Emperor Claudius, something of a bookworm and a scholar, wrote numerous histories, including one on the Etruscan people, an Etruscan-Latin dictionary, and a book on gaming/gambling. The works on the Etruscans are of especial note due to the paucity of sources on Etruscan norms, history, customs, and the Etruscan language.
All of Claudius’s works have been lost. Not a single copy has survived to the modern day.
