    The problem with looking at actual geography is that the geographical centre of Europe is, by most definitions, somewhere in the Baltics or Belarus. If you include Azores and Iceland, you can push it to eastern Poland. So that would make Russia and Kazakhstan the only Eastern European countries, and they are mostly in Asia.
