I put a bird feeder up because birds eat insects that destroy some plants. It was a very successful squirrel feeder.
Same. But over time I grew to love that fat greedy bastard
My great hope is that this is how my wife feels about me.
I actually snorted laughed when I read this.
I don’t think this counts as boomer humor because you’re not joking your wife. Self depreciating humor is my jam. Ignore me. I think too much.
Chunky is cuter than not chunky.
I wish I could feel the same way. I love animals but as I get older squirrels are animals I like less over time more than any other animals.
Me as a toddler: “Squirrels are so cute!”
Me as an adult: “Why is the squirrel eating wires?”
If you live somewhere where they can easily access your parked cars, attics, roofs, boats etc. Then they can absolutely be a problem. In those cases steps must be taken to protect your property from invasive squirrels. I can see why sone would feel this way
We are resetting up our bird feeder to get rid of some insects that have sprung up in the yard. We used to have wolf spirders and a toad that took care of them, but the wet weather and now the heat have killed them off. So hopefully the birds will return and take care of the problem.
I feed my local murder of crows peanuts almost every day. Those ungrateful fuckers couldn’t give two shits about me. For a while I thought they were bringing me little gifts of seeds and berries as a thank you, but then I realized they were just puking that stuff up so they could fit in more peanuts.
This helps when trying to deal with the fact that my job feels inherently worthless.
