I couldn’t find a lemmy community for your party after having a search around, so figured why not make one!
First time making a lemmy community, so let me know about any issues.
For anyone failing to find the community.
Thank, I edited the post, sorry for the dodgy link!
…It happens we have all done it at some point.

?
The Lemmy instance where you created this community isn’t British.
I can try move it to feddit.uk if preferred
Would likely be found easier. As feddit UK is becoming a default UK Lemmy.
But it’s not a requirement.
I only made it there bc I didn’t want to make a new Lemmy user on a diff instance and this was my default account. Is it important? Surely this is the strength of federation
Is it important?
Given that’s a British party and the participants will be mostly British and connecting from Britain, then yes.
Surely this is the strength of federation
I’m not sure what you think is a strength here. Just because you can create a community anywhere doesn’t mean it’s a good idea to ignore geography or jurisdiction.
Thank you for the feedback, I have moved it to !yourparty@feddit.uk
Any update on the name?
Won’t be till autumn. It is down to members to vote. That is expected to happen at the first party conference.
This is pretty much the plan with everything for this party. Membership democracy is its main point. This is why the 2 founders will not call them self the leaders. The members have to choose them.
Can someone check if the lemon party domain is taken?
