I am against cars in general. I think they are overused, and an environmental plight. Mever owned one and always moved on my bike or by public transit. I occasionally have to use a car, a few times a year, but I feel like I failed and was failed every time.
Micro mobility is very important to get some people out of their cars and it should be encouraged.
However, I don’t understand giving any kind of mobility device with a motor to a child. They already don’t have cars so it’s not replacing one. They are also fit enough to power the devices themselves. No need for a motor pushing kids around.
Even adults here are often not the most responsible people with their e-scooters, zigzagging around pedestrians and/or cyclists. Giving one to a child is irresponsible.
People are so disappointing.
