Kids appetites can be different to adults so I’m not sure that’s fair, I’m fine with my kids eating little and often between meals, as long as it’s not crap. Just have an abundance of fruit in the house and also eat those yourself so you’re setting an example. Be prepared when you go out so you bring healthy snacks with you rather than having to buy UPF laden crap.
The problem is that UPF are cheap and last a long time compared to non-UPF foods. For people on a budget it’s almost impossible to avoid, it’s everywhere. Non UPF alternatives are usually much more expensive.
