Based on the numbers and products I think it’s safe to say that Tesla as a car maker is finished. Will it be able to pivot into something else? I have my doubts.
Even without the PR baggage, they struggled to expand. Powerwall and Tesla solar roofs didn’t really go anywhere. Tesla share in those respective markets is pretty small.
Hell even in auto industry their share of the overall market has never been so overwhelming as to justify then being more valuable than many other segment leaders combined. Many of those competitors enjoyed twice the revenue of Tesla even with Tesla at their peak, yet investors decided Tesla was worth way more.
