Those munchies are a bitch sometimes.
Yeah I think THAT is the cause more than the weed.
Yeah, this feels like correlation vs. causation. I don’t doubt the figures, though.
Scientists discover munchies
Now add poverty as a variable and see if it’s a confounding factor.
Poor people hardly ever die on luxury yatchs. Going barefoot is associated with a greater potential for foot injuries. Reading on a screen more is associated with eye strain.
Anyone can make up these claims, it doesn’t make them medically causal facts, and the people involved in this paper should be embarrassed and suffer some loss of credibility.
Authors who use behavioral correlations as the basis of their studies are more likely to lose credibility.
FFS this is a study. Its not trying to be clickbait, or lie to you. If its ethos is that it’s just a correlation, then it’s just a correlation. Would you rather not publish it?
It’s all the snacks y’all are eating 😤
It’s gotta be right?
When you smoke out, you really want a sugar and carb rush.
Correlation is not causation
This study truly is an association. It measures US and UK adults. You literally should take this at face value. However face value is just what’s in the headline.
Huh. I was the other way around.
Developing type 2 diabetes increased risk of cannabis use?
Apparently.
