DP is working fine for me, it could have been a botched upgrade and you just have to try again (or DDU)

It seems better on launch with the nvidia driver for it than it was during the first open beta but I think they’re right with the overly aggressive culling and texture streaming causing issues. They said it’s still more than playable at 4k60 with my 3080ti and I’m having a blast

Ah you’re right, I was think of the 3000 series threadripper pros.

If I remember correctly the threadripper pro cpus were only sold to prebuilt vendors, so as an individual those are likely your only options.

Edit: Or get one of the non pro threadrippers like the 7960x

Yeah after reading that I used tracker.gg to look at my match history and it seems like around 1 in 10 quick play matches were bot matches, I watched the replay of one and it was pretty obvious. No competitive matches at least

Sure but when you have people dragging their anchor for 300km it certainly seems like negligence at best

Is there even any reason to be dragging your anchor? Isn’t the whole point that you put down the anchor when you are trying to stay still?

In my experience the launcher hate is less about the MMOs that actually are doing something relevant like updating and more the ubisofts and 2ks that are putting in a second layer of drm that can break and usually exists to hoover more data than they could otherwise.

You can sell a game on multiple storefronts/launchers without forcing the steam version to first launch a different app

The US and Japan dev teams aren’t the only people working on it, there’s still the “core” team in China, though still doesn’t seem like a good move

No I mean I render the game at 4k or 1080p or whatever the native res of the monitor I’m playing it on is. Upscaling is when you render it at a low resolution, likely the native ps2 resolution and then just scale that image higher

I usually just render the game at my monitor’s resolution and don’t upscale it

I think the right move at this point is to leave the country, maybe if it gets bad enough we can claim asylum in a country that knows what that means
