  • “biological male” is if anything bad description of reality. A trans woman who has been on hormone therapy for a couple of years is biologically closer to cisgender women than cisgender men. And even more so if they’ve had surgeries. But usually people who use that term don’t care and lump everyone who was assigned male at birth into that category.

I could attribute this term to ignorance because it sounds reasonable, but it’s far too often used to exclude trans women from spaces that other women belong

  • These planes aren’t used often. They’re strategic bombers and the most expensive of America’s bombers too. Both in per flight hour cost and absolute cost

The B2 spirit is primarily made for the nuclear deterrence and warfare role. They are designed to penetrate air defense systems by being stealthy, A concept that was proved by the f-117 Nighthawk.

But since they have a heavy payload they’re also used to drop conventional bombs occasionally. When you have to service a large amount of targets or use really big bombs, A strategic bomber is the go-to solution. They used B2 in this case for what my guess is these reasons

    • stealthy means they can get past radar systems and they can shrink any warning time
    • The B2 is the only plane rated to carry the gbu-57 bunker busting bomb. The facilities they were trying to destroy were fortified, so most other bombs wouldn’t work.

  • The thing is there’s quite a lot I can agree with on with the politics of empires. however the really seek to simply replace one empire with another and have another global power dominate since it is their the global power instead of the liberal one. It’s incredibly annoying to me because they are more imperialist than the average liberal in the know. (Global communist hegemony by force)

I have a pleasure of talking with one who isn’t quite as crazy as those on .ml, but we have talked about the institutions and politics of empires and how economic systems work. I’ve certainly become more of a socialist and I’ve gotten him to see a lot of the flaws in communist countries and the only one I haven’t really dispelled is Cuba. (I know relatively little about Cuba, and I think the US is a bit harsh towards them. Electoral politics makes it harder to open up to Cuba though)

We both hate Trump with a passion though. Partly because we are both queer, and also that we both hate fascists.

  • That doesn’t really have much to do with domestic stuff. I mean, every military does fucked up stuff, but at the end of the day, they’re made of people and have their families. Even myself.

As a service member, I educated myself on tactics, philosophy, diplomacy, economics, culture, mental health, geography, and many other topics to understand how and why military force is used. I know it’s not for democracy à la Helldivers. It’s used to keep the trade going and to conduct politics through harder power.

You might be an isolationist and that’s fine. But don’t insult the intelligence of myself who dealt with all sorts of philosophical dilemma and educated herself and others around her

  • As much crap is is going on in the world right now, the US military still has some scruples. They don’t just blindly follow Trump’s orders. And especially wouldn’t just fire into their countrymen. Trump hasn’t managed to take over every institution yet. Especially the military.

Service members know how to complain and think for themselves. And if something doesn’t seem right, they will clarify the heck out of it and push back. It’s not the Russian military
