They’re not made in Europe, though. I can’t find any reference on the country of manufacturing. If they were made in Sweden, or any other European country, I’d expect them to us it as a big part of their marketing, but they are not.

According to This Reddit comment from a couple of months ago, all of their products, including their boots, are made in Asia.

Absolute numbers say nothing about how deadly a place is. This should be normalized to number of journalists in each country and maybe even to the countries population. Absolute numbers are a worthless statistic.

The term “viaduct” doesn’t really say anything about it’s design. In Latin, “via” means road and “duct” means to lead. “Aqueduct” means a structure that leads water. A “viaduct bridge” is a road that reverses an obstacle on s bridge, no matter the design of said bridge.

I wouldn’t call a Canadian or Columbian “Yankee”. A “Yankee” is someone from the usa, not America.

Sure, six weeks isn’t the entire summer, but with the vacation days saved from previous years (since I rarely use more than four weeks) I could easily live work free for months. Since we’re animals, animals have been sentient as long as we’ve been. But not likely way before that as well.

The problem is that there are an infinite number of directions that are going north. Going north parallell to the ground is not the same direction as an upwards or downwards path. You can have any inclination between (-pi/2, pi/2) and still be going north. If you don’t specify the inclination, it is likely to be assumed to be zero, i.e. the baby is moving parallell to the earths normal plane, but it’s it is uncertain. That’s why you need two vectors in 3d space.
