The blood of the women, children and elderly […] we are the ones who need this blood, so it awakens within us the revolutionary spirit. — Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas senior leader

  • I’ve been running Qwen3.6 35B very easily. but that’s because I’ve got a ASUS Z13, which is one of the newish laptops that have the AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 in it. you can get that chip with 128gb of unified memory, 96gb of which I have dedicated to be VRAM. I can also run Qwen3 Coder Next 80B. I’m not sure how many tokens per second I’m getting with Coder, but it’s fast.

honestly I think this unified memory might be the future of mobile chips, because the things I can do with it are pretty crazy. it’s not just useful for AI either, it’s in a few gaming laptops because it also works really well when gaming. but the things you can do with LLMs or diffusion models is amazing. I donate compute to AI Horde, and I’m finishing image generation jobs for people in like 4 seconds.

  • I think the CCP describes it as the preliminary form of socialism or whatever, but how much of that is serious, and how much of that is just propaganda to distinguish themselves from the decadent western nations? most scholars would probably call it state capitalism.

just because the major corporations like China Tobacco are state owned, doesn’t mean they aren’t exploiting the population for profit though. keep in mind that most of the unethical consumption under capitalism in the west is powered by orphan crushing machines in the east.

  • Also I think that if more instances then switch away from piefed to your version that his fragile ego wouldn’t be able to take it and he’d ragequit the whole project leaving you all to maintain it.

well, judging from the conversations we’ve had, our end goal is a software diverged enough that we’re the ones maintaining it because he has nothing to do with it. some of us have unused servers lying around the house, so we’re setting up platforms as we speak for testing. there’s currently several people who are planning to take part in the development, but that number might go up when we “officially” announce the fork later.
