Me explaining techniques of the A Button Challenge to literally anyone:
“So Mario manipulates the pendulum to rotate with a larger angular momentum, which causes the ceiling to leak from floor triangle misalignment multiple times, cancelling Mario’s ground pound, allowing him to ground pound 7 times in a row to gain height”

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How do you stop arguing with people on social media?
2·23 days agoInstead of arguing to win, I argue to learn about the other side’s opinion.
I trigger people for them to say more for my AI training. (/j)If the argument is something I’ve seen a thousand times then I don’t bother. Also, if someone starts using personal insults (“fuck you”, “kill yourself”), that means they ran out of arguments and lost.

In Hong Kong, autism almost always refers to the people who really struggle to talk to others.
With this context, I’d argue autism does exist, but the spectrum has gone too far. Like, sure I have a much higher attention span than my peers, does that make me autistic? If following a routine strictly is autistic, then what’s normal? Having no schedule at all?
If they keep expanding what is considered autistic, it almost makes more sense to categorize the non-autistic people as dysfunctional.

I swear we abuse ACs way too much. Nobody cares enough about the energy consumption except Lam Chiu-Ying.
NorthWestWind@lemmy.worldtoMicroblog Memes@lemmy.world•We need to make informed choicesEnglish
4·1 month agoBy baking, I simply mean I of in the cold food of out hot eat the food, not the entire process before it.

For example, bake pork chop. Put tinfoil on the tray, put the pork chop on, add some salt, put another tinfoil to cover it. You don’t even need to wash the tray.
Cook some rice with a rice cooker to go with the pork chop and you’re done.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•College core: you sit in the class for attendance then go home and teach yourself
1·1 month agoEven some more renowned universities do that too. Sometimes if a course is being taught poorly I can go look up slides from like Stanford or something.
I think the higher level courses simply require too much basic knowledge to understand anyway, so putting it out there will allow people in similar level to help out each other, but people who don’t have the basics will still not understand.
