  • You’re just outing yourself as a piece of garbage. I would pay my fucking employees, and if I somehow did it myself ethically it would be winning a lottery and I would share it amongst my friends and family.

I already do stuff like this. I own a sports car and I fight for pedestrianizing our streets, including the main one near where I live. I ride public transit and take the bike share service to get places. A guy once asked me to sign a petition to get rid of paid parking and I told him that I literally do not care and that it’s only fair that I personally pay to park my personal vehicle on publically funded infrastructure given how many people on that street don’t own cars and still have to pay for them.

You’re just an asshole who has already been visited by the sins of greed and pride and you’re just pissy that you don’t have the resources to act on those feelings. Be a better person, and quit this projecting bullshit; I don’t want any part of it.

  • Well that’s a gross over-simplification. It certainly wasn’t her and the DNC’s long history of clearly ignoring the needs of the people who want to vote for them while regularly reaching for “moderate” votes. It definitely wasn’t her disconnection from Walz while hanging out with Liz Cheney for a significant amount of time.

People don’t see her as any form of significant opposition to the far-right but they do see opposing the DNC as something worth doing and I’ve come around to supporting them there. It is not their fault that the Republicans won, anyoderately sane and intelligent people would have laughed him into oblivion but the US threw tens of millions of people at Trump.

  • Yes, but most people would put up with it instead because they’re afraid of the consequences. As much as they use “hackers” for scaring everyone these corporations likely don’t actually care since they know it’s only a handful of people. They know they just need to be stubborn enough for someone to forget after even only a couple months, or to create a boogie man to discourage them from fighting back.

It’s regulation or we’re fucked. Individuals do not have the necessary power to fight these large industries.

  • Or all the automatics in the states, or all the cars that only seem to come in black, white, or silver. Can also look at a lot of food, especially in food deserts, or public transit being gutted when ridership is low(because it was never funded in the first place).

People need to pay literally any kind of attention. I feel like this information, with studies to back it up that also aren’t by conservative think-tanks, is so readily available and yet also there are people who have zero clue about anything, like you’re saying.

  • I mean definitely mistakes happen, when we start saying that everything is on purpose that’s a big problem. However, one of my biggest irritations with people who fight against better infrastructure is how they all suck at driving. They’re terrible at it and refuse to get better but also demand that everything is built in their favour. That negligence absolutely does lead to preventable injuries and loss of life and far too many of these “accidents” are exactly as you say.

I’ll start paying attention to those idiots when they start putting in some vague amount of effort. At this point they can’t even turn left without cutting the oncoming lane.

  • There’s also, I think, the weird fucky option were 75% sorta works because the 25% applies to choosing 50% and 50% applies to choosing 25% which means that as long as you don’t choose 0% you’re good?

BUT ALSO, none of the question says it’s talking about itself. It could just mean in general, so we can choose 25% on purpose and then glare at whoever made A and D the same.
