I had many VSTs on Windows. After making the switch to Linux, ported then using Yabridge. But I kept using them less and less. Now I’m on Bigwig and I hardly use any third party VSTs at all. Hell, I don’t even use 99% of my samples because Bitwig is so versatile. I usually take their native stuff and tweak it to my likings, and fast! So even if that is not what you asked, I recommend leaving it all behind and start fresh with just Bitwig. It really doesn’t need anything else to make music on Linux. And it feels great to let go of all the digital baggage.

Verteidigung unserer Grenze, höchstens! Es gibt eine Menge Männer, die mir sehr gerne sehr lange sehr eindringlich erklärten, wie wichtig mehr Waffen für den Frieden sind. Aber sie werden mich nicht überzeugen. Und ehrlich gesagt, so richtig gut hat Abschreckung rückblickend bisher auch nicht funktioniert. Wer Waffen besitzt gerät in Situationen, die Waffen erfordern. Das gilt für Personen genau wie für Staaten. Und nennt mich verrückt, aber ich möchte nicht, das meine Lunge nach einer Druckwelle aus meinem Mund hängt, während meine Familie neben mir verbrennt. Die Chance steigt mit jeder Atomrakete in meinem Garten.

Es gab auch vor KI schon Sample- und Loop-Libraries, mit denen du ohne große Kenntnisse seelenlose Musik im Style von [ARTIST] wie Legos zusammenbauen kannst. Klar ist KI nochmal einen Schritt krasser, aber das erfolgreiche Künstler kopiert werden ist nun wirklich nichts Neues.
Ich persönlich glaube, dass einem großen Teil der Menschen ganz egal ist, welche Musik irgendwo im Hintergrund läuft. Und echte Hits, die aus diesem Grundrauschen heraus ragen wird es immer geben. Die sind auch schon immer irgendwo her zusammengeklaut inspiriert. Das hier ist ein eher beeindruckendes Beispiel. :)

This was decades ago. There was a Reggae Revival in the 2010ths, lots of great artists which stopped promoting homophobia, sexism, greed and violence. The US were super homophobic a couple of decades ago as well. So let’s not judge this island too hard, it comes from a rough past, change needs time.

Came to say this. McDonald is not a great allegory on the downfall of the US. The style just changed from colorful cartoon aimed at children to stylish minimalism to attract centrists. The product it’s selling stays the same. It has always been fake. You just grew up.

Plants have feelings too
No, they do not. There is no serious study to suggest that they do. Plants do not have a brain or central nervous system. At most, they respond to stimuli. If you really care that much about the welfare of plants, you should go vegan, since many more plants “die” for animal feeding. Do you feel bad while mowing your lawn? And would you rather rescue a potted plant than a dog from a burning house? Is docking pig tails the same as branch trimming to you? Question upon question…

So they wanna bet against exponential worldwide growth!? Good luck, boomers.

Idealisten wollen das Gute (dazu zählte ich mich auch), Realisten wollen den bestmöglichen Kompromiss. Die Position der Realisten kann leichter ausgenutzt werden.
