I’ve restored a few classics and like to think I know what I’m doing. I’ll put on a dress for you, but I’m not shaving my beard
I jumped off Reddit’s cliff and landed here just like many other Lemmings.

Nah I’ll give the Americans this one. I don’t use metric time either
I just go with 1.6 because its still easy enough to do in your head.
Eg. 60mi = 60 + (60/2) + (60/10) = 96km
Though my phone has run sailfish for nearly a year now, I’m not sure my next phone will - SFOS is very good in a lot of ways but its not open source, so its progress at getting better is very slow due to the small team that works on it
I agree that missing these things are features IMO.
Typing this reply from SailfishOS with working VoLTE, MMS and all the things. Occasionally I have to restart a service but overall its pretty good
Speak for yourself, it cost me $1000 to get my thesis published
Me trying to overtake at 130kph in Euro Truck Simulator
I don’t think I’ve answered the question “How are you?” with any response other than “I’m surviving” for at least five years

Yeah honestly I don’t get the hate, maybe this is why.
I could never live in the city. That place is dark, full of tall buildings that block out the sky and covered in trash over concrete that blocks out the ground.
Out here in the country I have a ten minute commute and would go insane if I had to work from home. I’m quite happy to go to the office five days a week.
I think cities are the problem, not commuting.

Just install Win10 anyway. Only caveat of not activating is youre stuck with the default wallpaper

Might have to try Forza Horizon 4 with this tomorrow night. I bought it a year or so ago when it was on sale and shutting down, but haven’t yet been really able to play it under Linux.

This is the exact same argument the Hackintosh community had. “Apple will never put a stop to us, we’re the hardcore tinkerers who find bugs in their software before any normal user!”
Google doesn’t care. The hardcore users on the bleeding edge make up 0.001% of people with an Android phone. Pissing them off will not affect the shareholders.

I run SailfishOS and Australia mandates VoLTE now. It works.
Depends, no professional setting I’ve ever worked in has blinked twice at people routinely swearing in the office / workshop.
I mean I still wouldn’t get on a zoom meeting with the CEO and tell him to get fucked, but that sort of language between coworkers is totally normal in my experience and not considered an issue at all. If someone calls me a dumb cunt at work, its probably because I was being a dumb cunt. No hard feelings, tomorrow’s a new day. Let’s try to be a good cunt tomorrow.
Can I ask a genuine question with no malice intended so please don’t take it the wrong way?
…Why is one’s “deadname” such a taboo subject?
I mean I’m a cis white bloke so I don’t get a say in anything but to me it’s just what you used to be called but you’re not anymore, and that’s great. But a lot of people treat it like this evil, secret backstory nobody is to know about? Why is it so “bad”?
Sorry if this is insensitive…
Please box up some of your heat and send it back down here to australia. It’s fucking freezing here. Was only 14°C today

I reckon more than 20 years ago a family friend of mine e-mailed this to me. The subject line was “women’s thoughts gif”…
I think at the time I was too young to work out why he’d called it that but I remember spending hours studying every part of it. Thanks for unlocking a core memory

Australia doesn’t have automatic registration either, which is baffling in its own right considering we have mandatory voting.
When you turn 18 you need to register to vote, thereby placing your name on the list for any and all future elections.

I thought this said Australian high speed train, and my first thought was “yeah but it only would have been doing 80kph”
100% agree with your argument but I’ll never not see the name “Sean” and immediately think “Seen” rather than “Shawn”
