On the one hand i’m disappointed. On the other hand, at least i know what to expect now when i want to play a playstation game, cause i kinda hated that when a new game released, it would be in limbo for a while where you’re not sure if you should buy it now, or wait for the pc version, especially since not every game got a pc release anyway. I waited way too long to buy astro bot for that reason, but i finally pulled the trigger on it a few weeks ago.

Yeah quite a while back actually. I think a new star wars game was announced at the game awards, but atp i’ll believe it when i see it lol. That game that Quantum Dream was supposed to be developing also isn’t looking good.

Now that you mention it, i think i remember using Opera on my phone at the time. I don’t remember why tbh, maybe i felt like it was more lightweight and faster, but no clue if that was actually true.
That’s wild. I remember when i was in high-school there were quite a few people that installed firefox on the school computer just to be quirky, since it was one of the few programs they would let you install on it lol.

How is finding vulnerabilities and patching them enshittification?
I had more of a need for android emulation when i was still using subscription services that don’t have a native linux version and their webbrowser version is kneecapped. Something like apple music is a good example of that. But i gave up music streaming and starting buying CDs and selfhosting them, so now i’m not sure what need i would have for android emulation honestly. I can’t think of any android app that i would want to run on my pc.
I think for me it’s usually an old 3d platformer or something, rayman 2 & 3, but i also like the ps2/3 ratchet & clank games. I replayed those a ton as a kid, and as an adult i still like to boot them up every now and then.
Ah, did not know that actually. I think i used the official mullvad cli on NixOS once since they had it packaged anyway, but on other distros i always used wireguard to connect, so that explains why i haven’t encountered that.
Kinda curious what applications give you trouble without systemd? I ran Void linux for like 2 years and now i’m on Guix, and never really had issues with applications because of systemd not being present.
Well we’ve seen already what happens with this upscaling tech in general. Games being less and less optimized. Plus ray tracing being pushed on us, tanking performance for a marginal improvement, and sometimes it even makes games look worse imo. I remember a time when it wasn’t considered normal that a brand new flagship card needs upscaling to run a game with good performance. Well anyway, what i was trying to say with that in mind was that i wouldn’t be surprised if games become less graphically impressive ootb, because they can just throw the AI slop filter on top.

I started using emacs a while back. Before that i was using helix. If i need to make a quick edit in the tty i still find myself going back to nano. I’ve never been in a situation where i could only use vim. If i ever am though, i would know my way around.
