Will talk about Linux, plants, space, retro games, and anything else I find interesting.
Looking forward to it!!
Piefed/mbin both have better fediverse integration with other platforms. Lemmy has the numbers and is super fast + apps.
6a is pretty good and will be supported for a bit. Wish they were more repairable though…
Good we need to be sustainable not be like other social media.
You created code, congrats you are a “coder” ;)
On a side note, I love how python looks on lemmy. This is awesome! I really like the way you parse the message, its readable.
if 'Ping' in message:
interface.sendText("Pong!", destinationId=sender)
Im totally doing that to test out my node(s).
Great job on this. I may take some of this later.
Here is the weather code (fat fingered the name, cant be bothered to change): https://yuno.chrisco.me/git/michael/meshtastic_forceast/src/branch/main/main.py
Heavily influenced by something I found online a while back which I lost the reference to.
Im guessing you were a C/C# dev based on the function names.
Fantastic job! Does Tobias have a preferred fedi account? I would like to follow.
Thank you for providing the link. Im actually on GoToSocials side on this particular one. But I wish both sides would have communicated a bit more before this got rolled out.
Nice! When you get a chance, I would love to see that code! We have a system right now that does local weather and events once a day.
I’ve heard it’s good.
We (people who post) are also generally not on the platform anymore. I would surmise that causes changes in how the site operates and what posts get the people who have not left riled up.
It’s been my daily driver for years now. The two computers os have literally never failed, no software issues other than some bugs I myself introduced.
I love bookwyrm. Great stack and good people.
Beers and other such drinks would be awesome! Beer.social sounds great (or something like it)
It would be nice if we can just click subscribe. I know mastodon lets you do something similar within other mastodon instances. What I wouldn’t give for a better user experience…
Some Lemmy instances work. Others don’t. Piefed and kbin/kbin work well though.
Excellent instance!
Veronica explains is one channel I always enjoys (if you like Linux).
Interesting! Is this over a Git issue somewhere? That could explain quite a bit.
It would be a shame if yt comments talked about Lemmy. Just saying.
