Formal you where I live is generally used for anyone older that you don’t know closely, in professional settings, or toward someone who has authority over you. Informal you is used for friends, close family, and some people around your age or younger.
How about flagging suspected bot accounts and those that spam AI-generated content? That way users can decide whether to block/avoid them and communities can decide whether to remove them. I wouldn’t knowingly engage with a bot and suspect most others wouldn’t either, even if the posts do occasionally lead to interesting discussions between real users.
I wish we could opt out of body hair. There is laser hair removal (mixed results) and electrolysis, both both are expensive and require multiple sessions.

Bake it into pies and pastries, form it into patties and fry it, add it to omelettes and pastas, turn it into a dip or creamy sauce…so many good uses for spinach. I add it to protein smoothies too.

Not that it affects me in any way, but I cannot understand why anyone would choose to do that when there are ways of looking at even more boobs (uncensored ones at that) without having your face, legal name, and marital status publicized along with it. 🤯

If you don’t have access to the brand name cleaning supplies that are usually recommended, I’ve had good results by mixing dish soap and vinegar, spreading it with either a spray bottle or sponge, letting it sit for about 15 minutes, and then scrubbing.
I firmly believe food and drink shouldn’t be restricted to a specific time of year or day. At the moment I am a fan of brownies and rice pudding with cinnamon. Oh, and bougatsa. I should try making it.
Hah, I think seeing these kind of memes on Lemmy is permeating into my sense of humor. And that this pressure that some Americans place on themselves to work on holiday is in part self-inflicted. Part of them are afraid of the repercussions for not meeting the unfair standard set by the rest who see working excessive hours as something to be proud of and a measure of how hard they work.
According to hundreds of open-text responses, many consumers view the name debate as unnecessary or just “symbolic politics.” The majority prefer to see a focus on more urgent societal issues.
The reasoning behind the ban is supposedly to prevent consumers from accidentally purchasing plant-based products instead of meat ones…but plant-based products are often sold in their own sections and have distinctive packaging. Having “burger” or “sausage” in the name suggests what the product is intending to replace, which is helpful to people looking for alternatives to these products, especially if they have recently switched to a plant-based diet.
