minus-squareBrikoXOPlinkfedilinkEnglish3•1 year agoWith AAA studios it’s more the revenue share than anything. It’s cheaper for them to spend salary on employees for a few years to develop an engine they can built 5-10 games on than having to pay revenue share for each title.
Completely agree. I think this is why so many studios just make their own engines yeah? Takes a long time to make but saves you trouble in the future
