I don’t think they’re being sneaky, it’s written in plain that it’s a piped link and if you hover it you can see where it’s leading you.
I agree it would be better if the displayed text was the same as the link though.

I don’t trust anybody that makes their URL look like it’s going to a trusted website, but the actual URL is different to the text.
