I read this a while ago and while interesting I think it overstates the specific role that Anarchist thought played in it.
It is well known that radical movements attract people with questionable ethics but who are the same time quite fluid in their political believes.
On a side note… I believe Stirner was mostly trying to troll his contemporary German philosophers and not start a new branch of Anarchism.
