      It is not.

To censor a language is to censor thought itself.

And if slurs and insults become censored and incapable of thought, what else is on the table, up for removal? Words about being queer, words about body rights, words about lived experiences, words that aren’t fucking corpo-washed.

I have made my point in an unerring straight goddamn line.

Languages should not shrink for any goddamn reason.

Now go to bed, it’s 5:37 in the morning.

No, drag means it’s hypocritical of you, because drag invented a new word and you didn’t use it. In fact, you used a different, more common word instead during the appropriate time to use drag’s word.

I don’t have to use your word, I can use whatever words I want. It’s why there are options.

You can use whatever words you want to, and you don’t have to use the words I provide.

You don’t have to use the words anyone provides, and no one has to use the words you provide.

This is how language develops, how styles and dialect and vocabulary develops.

And you can stay up and fill my inbox, I don’t care anymore, but I’m going to sleep. To bed. Conk out. Hitting the hay. Getting some rest. Zonk.

Drag doesn’t understand why you’re so insistent on making the english language smaller and preventing people from expressing themselves with new words. Maybe your views are just flip-flopping to whatever lets you deny the self-expression of queer people. It sure feels that way when you refuse to use drag’s neopronouns.

I think it’s safe to assume they don’t realize that drag is referring to dragself’s pronouns, and that the word “you” is the problem (I’m also not sure that I’ve got it right- lmk).

My input on the debate, while I’m here, is that people should be free to refer to themselves with whatever label they want, even if I think it’s problematic, especially when it comes to something so personal like sexuality

Thank you. You almost have it right. The only thing is that drag’s pronouns are not capitalised. Drag is not a god.

Drag doesn’t think we should police people who use the word lesbian. Drag thinks we should just make sure that everyone’s aware of both sides of the issue. Drag suspects that doing so would lead to the word being abandoned willingly by gay women, the same way trans people abandoned words like transvestite. These days, if an older trans woman calls herself a transvestite, everyone knows she’s old fashioned but doesn’t think much beyond that. Drag thinks that’s how the word lesbian is going to end up.

Lol, I noticed that, sorry. How neat would it be though if it was like a sign of respect/disrespect to capitalize/lowercase pronouns?

That’s fair! I did appreciate reading the opinions/info you provided elsewhere in the comments

Drag has met capitalised pronoun users. They didn’t think it was a sign of respect, and They got pretty mad if someone insisted that it was. They wanted to be treated the same as everyone else while still being Themselves. Unfortunately, many people think that’s a contradiction.
