Because by supporting China you are letting in a Trojan Horse. Chinese investors are parasites that will overflow the market with extremely cheap products, make the market dependent on them by estabilishing monopolies and then control the market.

All that made possible because the Chinese entrepreneurs sell all their products with significant loss, but they are generously funded by their government.

This is not even unfair trade, at this point this is a economical invasion. It has been going for quite some time with aliexpress, alibaba and temu. Now it’s happening in the automotive.

We already know that. Have for a long time.

But our body, our choice. America can masturbate itself with its tariffs.

I’d like to make it clear as an American that I’ve thought US policy has been extremely wrongheaded for a while now. But at the same time, China is going to exert just as much - if not more - leverage in the long run, as compared to the US.

It’s not the leverage, we get leverage either way. We are too tied to the US economy and all signs point to an idiot in charge of it. And we already got fucked by Trump tariffs.

And yet you don’t mind. What flavour of boots do you recommend for a total beginner?

Usually American, but this is the second time the sole fell off so if reliable licking is your goal one should expand their palate.

Is the US having monopoly on tech in other country any better? We are not in the 90’s or early 2000 where all Chinese product was just junk
