    If I am not mistaken, there is no mechanism to throw out a state out of NATO provided in the treaty. Of course, Trump doesn’t know this. His constant breaking of Article 1 and Article 2 shows he never read it.

    Fun fact: to become a member you have to depose your instrument of accession with the US government, and to leave you have to give a notice of denunciation to the US government. What happens if the US leaves? Nato membership status freezes for all eternity?

      The membership rules is not the main issue if the US leaves, those can be changed, the issue is all interconnected tech going to/through the US…
