@krooklochurm@milkisklim this says nothing about blocking people who think differently, just blocking people who are perpetually unhappy & spread that unhappiness everywhere…
but more generally, people are absolutely entitled to drop their opinions and hot takes on social media – but they’re not entitled to demand or expect anyone’s ongoing attention if what they drop isn’t of interest (or is antithetical to their world-view) 💁♀️
I think it’s important to consider other points of view thoughtfully, and question your base assumptions. Sometimes, constructive and argumentative discussion can help with that, assuming both parties are informed and respectful.
Now, how often have you seen a disagreement in the comments section where both parties are informed, respectful, and working constructively to really understand the underlying issues?
Sometimes, it’s best to just walk away, and blocklists are an excellent way to do so.
Who asks? Can anyone even see your banned list?
I ban those that don’t bring me joy. This is my free time, why bother being annoyed?
Nothing says “I love the values of Star Trek” like shutting out anyone who thinks differently than you.
Life isn’t an endless grind or a thing to be beaten. If I think something’s annoying I’ll disappear it from my feed.
I’m not obligated to waste my limited time on earth with frustrating and ultimately irrelevant strangers on the internet.
It certainly was all of that, until humanity “beat” nature.
And not being obligated, doesn’t excuse.
Covering your eyes, doesn’t help fix anything.
Uhm ackshully, I think you’re annoying
Funny how people only say that when they know someone’s right.
It actually turns out that annoying people are the ones who get called annoying.
Yes. It’s often anoying when people you disagree with are right
While your statement is true it’s not whats happening here lol

Thanks for stepping in.
For clarity I meant block instead of ban. I have no power to ban here or anywhere except from my feed.
You some champion of missing the point?
