A few years back, BMW teamed up with bike-maker Cube and mobility company SoFlow to prototype a funky leaning cargo e-trike as part of a mobility expo. Cube subsequently launched the concept as the Trike Hybrid in 2023, and has now added a flatbed variant to the range.
Very desirable indeed.
A trike with a deck is a cool idea. I had one years ago with a huge basket but stopped using it because the high centre of gravity was annoying. Though I guess with the tilting function, that wouldn’t be much of a concern.
If only it didn’t cost the same as a used pick up truck.
You could build your own tilting one like this guy:
Well that was a good video. I wish you hadn’t shared it because now I’m thinking about it. Cheers.
Watching YouTube is risky if you own a welder 😅
I might have a private playlist of tallbikes and other contraptions. Thankfully, I have not gotten into 3D printing, so I have no impulse yet to print a marble clock.
The Trike Flatbed Hybrid 750 is on sale now in Europe starting at €5,799 (which converts to about US$6,700 – though we’ve no word on international availability).
