Funny. Mine was from Longclaw, one of the ASOIAF swords, that became Ironclaw, which sounded not quite right. Since her pads and kitten nails were dark, it sort of morphed in to Ironpaw.
Huh…so maybe she’s not first of her name after all.

I used to have a cat with the middle name Ironpaw, never thought I’d see that again.
What! Where’d you get the name from? I was reading ASOIAF at the time, so that’s how ours got the fancy name.
