I tried to explain there in mastodon how to install postmarketos on a Xiaomi Redmi S2, step by step.
I intend to help beginners and democratise at maximum, because I mean linux phones are far better than custom aosp derivatives with uncertain future.
My kind of tutorial is unperfect and needs improvement, to make
in the future.
Exciting! Is it working ok? I tried all the DEs available on an Wileyfox Swiff earlier this year (foloowed instructions on the wiki) and they eather didn’t wake from sleep, touch didn’t work and or it was glitchy as hell (that looked amazing, tbh).
Some things don’t work:
- camera
- GPS (for now!)
The other things are “minor”, little bugs, I must document them
Are camera / mobile working?
Mobile data yes Bluetooth wifi yes ; WiFi can have strange behaviour, hesitate sometimes
