    The whole point of religion is power and control over the vulnerable. That’s it. It’s an easier path than trying to deal with unpleasantness alone and awful people will take advantage of that.

    Catholics just make it easy by being so organized

    Non Catholic denominations have the same or worse pedophilia problems. Much harder to discover because they’re decentralized and small.

    Apply the same logic to the abuser. Disable them so they have a trauma to carry for life and tell them to forgive and forget.
