Max has driven phenomenally and he is well deserving of the championship title, but it’s not a question of whether he wins it, it’s a question of whether Norris will lose it.

1 DNF from Norris and it’s likely over. Alternatively, Max wins everything, Norris gets a 3rd and a 4th place in the main races and 2nd in the sprint (or another combination where Norris isn’t 2nd or 1st each race). Both scenarios are unlikely to happen, but not exactly a long shot either.
Does pole position still give a point? Those could really make a difference in these last races.

If a team fumbles - be it with scrutineering like today, or with a pit stop, or strategy, or sending the driver out at the wrong time in quali - that could easily change things up again. F1 is a team sport. Even if Norris locks in, his team could fuck up.
