      I doubt that’s the case anymore. Sure, the “kid tech genius” trope had it’s day from the 80s to early 2000s, but now not so much There was this window of time where the tech could work wonders but was hard to use and demanded a great deal of understanding to get that wondrous benefit. Older folks had no time to get used to it, but young people had nothing better to do.

      Now tech is accessible enough that you don’t need to understand it so well, so younger folks don’t learn it as much. Time mucking with it now competes with essentially limitless video and text content.

      The millennial/younger Gen x partially met that expectation (most of them also didn’t really understand tech either, just the ones that did were pretty blatant), but not anymore.
