This is just marketing bullshit, loads of companies fired a fuck-ton of people to be replaced with AI and it didn’t work. “It’s gonna happen next year so you better invest in us” works on finance goons I guess but fuck me this is just a tired refrain from these AI CEO turds.

I think you’d have to do it as a crowdsourcing project. Take submissions and then filter them against listings for real estate sales?

All of these have to get listed at some point, so all of their locations are out there. The only ones that won’t be listed are the custom builds where a billionaire bought a plot of land in a forest and then dug their own bunker out. That information won’t be completely secret either though. There will be people that know or local news that mentioned it and people that can report it.

In some cases you simply won’t be able to confirm who owns the private bunker, but it’s still useful as a private bunker map without listing owners anyway. The only people that own private bunkers a multi millionaires and up.

Eventually that kind of map will be genuinely useful.

If the dickheads forcing AI-based unemployment to happen to the rest of us are all hiding underground, why the fuck wouldn’t we just kinda… idk, not do that?

The rich have been building their private fallout bunkers for a while already. I wonder if this is partly to hype up AI to keep the excitement going to entice continuing investment. “You guys, AI is so scary it’s going to replace all these jobs.” And I think it will, and hopefully not to a point that is socially destabilizing. But the real economy is already on the rocks, I don’t buy it that recent layoffs of white collar workers is solely or even primarily due to LLMs taking those jobs.

The point I’m trying to get at is that the people telling us that AI is a terrifying world-changing force are the same people who need to keep money pouring in to their AI businesses.
