Your Party's "historic" founding conference has descended into chaos on day one as one of its co-founders stages a boycott over claims of a "purge".

Zarah Sultana has boycotted day one of the Your Party Conference over the expulsion of members of left-wing groups.

Ms Sultana co-founded Your Party with Jeremy Corbyn in July, but the new movement has been marred with infighting from the outset.

There was a row on the eve of conference after it emerged members of the Socialist Workers Party (SWP) had been expelled from Your Party, as its rules do not permit dual membership.

    The whole thing is a gigantic clusterfuck all around (also fuck the SWP, they’re really bad, rape apologia barely covers it tbh, there’s also more general abuse, hyper-centralisation and authoritarianism, and cult tactics[1]). I have very little expectations of political parties anyway (given my bizarre flavour of anarchism) but it’s fucking mental how much infighting, toleration of bigotry, power-struggles, and general clusterfuckery there is in “Your Party”.
