They are just a few hundred kilometers away by car. I have friends there. I haven’t been in a while and let my friends know it wasn’t safe for us to go. They are welcome to go to America’s biggest country to visit us instead. Also I don’t use Facebook or Instagram or Snapchat or whatever.

I want this to be true, and I have no plans to go back, but ‘ditch’ may be a bit strong. Actually tourism is down 4%-6% according to the article, and that’s definitely a lot if you own a hotel, but not as many people are changing their plans as one would expect/think.
