Doomsday Clock is ridiculous garbage that only exists on vibes.

That being said, yes, we’re in a more precarious position than any time since the Cold War.

Man 8 year old me was so freaking scared when it was like 5 minutes to midnight. Oh no world could end this week or next.

To the best of my knowledge, it did not

I mean yeah, since nukes were invented there’s no way we’re getting far away from midnight. Just a matter of waiting until someone lights the touchpaper.

Good news, that’s exactly correct, from this we can conclude that your cognitive function is clearly still operating efficiently despite the lack of oxygen you’re experiencing from drowning! I hope this reassurance also helps with your ongoing drowning.

Hasn’t it been for the past few years? I have seen headlines like this pop up with some frequency for close to a decade now.

Might have something to do with the rise in fascism and populism, but I feel a bit desensitised to that piece of news. We’re in treacherous waters of our own making, so - either way - it’s best we get our shit together. Alarmism won’t help, figuring out how to stop the madness will.
